Assalamualaikum,
Dear Brother,
Please allow me to extract a very lovely statement from an article "Marriage for a Muslimah" written by an American Muslim, Noura Durkee.
Her article was included in a book that I read, "Qualities of a Good Muslim Wife" by Taiwo Hanbal Abdul Raheem. In Sister Noura's article, she mentioned that in the spirit of relationship between intending couples is that:

Marriage for a Muslimah

"One pray behind him in Salat. After a time, and thousands of rak'ats,
one becomes filled with supreme gratitude for this. "....... Allah has
made of you mates of your own nature ,,,,,," (Al Quran, Surah An Nahl
16, ayat 72). One is in Sajda (prostration) not to, but with him. He
is breath ahead, as a sign, breaking the path. Yet she is there, and
were he to turn around, they would see in another's eyes the countless
mirrored reflections of each other".

And, in Islam, a husband is the Imam in the family, a provider and leads
the family (his wife and children) in the jemaah prayers to a life of
ibadah and contentment together. And, one should always do Istikhara, to
seek Allah's guidance in one's search for a life partner, for Allah will
guide one to that direction for a future blessed life, insya'Allah.

I hope the above short statements could be included, insya'Allah, if
time permits I will submit others to share the beauty of Islam to muslim
brothers and sisters.

Syukran wa jazakumullahu khairan.
